Residents in Henderson, Kentucky, are now eligible to receive a $100 gift card for becoming fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The financial vaccine incentive was approved by the City of Henderson Board of Commissioners and allows the first 1,000 City of Henderson residents who become fully vaccinated between Sept. 22 and Oct. 22 to receive a $100 gift card.
According to the city, the incentive is available to previously unvaccinated adult City of Henderson residents who receive full doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The incentive is only available at three locations throughout the city:
- T&T Drug Store (1331 Clay St.)
- Midway Pharmacy (Eastgate Shopping Center on Outer Second Street)
- Health First Community Health Center (700 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave)
The city says the Board of Commissioners approved the incentive in an effort to increase the local COVID-19 vaccination rate, which was 47.36% as of Tuesday.
According to the city, the 1,000 $100 gift cards are being paid for using funds from the American Rescue Plan.
