The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office is reporting 15 new positive cases of COVID-19 within the Diocese of Evansville Catholic Schools District.
The education office reported the new positive COVID-19 cases on Monday and said that they had been identified over a three-day period, between Nov. 20 - Nov. 23.
The new positive cases of COVID-19 reported on Monday involve nine students and six employees within the district, who are associated with 10 different schools.
On November 23, the Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office learned of 15
positive COVID-19 tests involving 10 diocesan Catholic schools:
- School 1 – Four students tested positive
- School 2 – Two students tested positive
- School 3 – One employee and one student tested positive
- School 4 – One employee tested positive
- School 5 – One employee tested positive
- School 6 – One employee tested positive
- School 7 – One employee tested positive
- School 8 – One employee tested positive
- School 9 – One student tested positive
- School 10 – One student tested positive
The education office says the employees and students who tested positive are currently self-quarantining and will return to school when it's safe for them to do so.
The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office works with 26 different diocesan Catholic schools in Southwestern Indiana and says that due to privacy reasons, specific information on individuals who tested positive and the different schools they're associated with won't be released.
