Warrick County School Corporation Superintendent Brad Schneider says at least 179 students ranging from freshman to senior have been quarantined.

Supt. Schneider says the students were placed in quarantine sometime last week after possibly being exposed to COVID-19.

Schneider says they believe the exposure is connected to Labor Day weekend celebrations.

The students who were quarantined are currently learning online.

Supt. Schneider says WCSC's main focus is keeping students in school and learning in a safe environment.

Around 900 total students attend Boonville High School in Boonville, Indiana.

It's a seasonable and dry start to Friday, but the heat is going to turn up this afternoon. Partly sunny skies will stick around with highs in the mid to upper 80s. The humidity may take the way it feels up a notch. Those southerly winds will help push in that moisture making it feel more like the low 90s. An isolated shower can't be ruled out, but any rainfall won't ruin our plans.
