In western Kentucky on Friday, 191 new positive cases of COVID-19 and one new COVID-19 death were identified with all counties in the 44News viewing area currently reporting updated numbers aside from Muhlenberg County.
In the Green River District Health Department's seven-county area, 179 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported Friday.
Those new positive cases were identified in the following counties:
- Daviess County: 83 new positive cases
- Hancock County: 8 new positive cases
- Henderson County: 45 new positive cases
- McLean County: 3 new positive cases
- Ohio County: 19 new positive cases
- Union County: 12 new positive cases
- Webster County: 8 new positive cases
According to GRDHD, 18,649 total positive cases of COVID-19 have now been identified throughout the seven-county district to date, as have 314 total COVID-19 deaths.

In Hopkins County, which is just outside of the GRDHD area, 12 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported Friday by the Hopkins County Health Department.
One new COVID-19 death was also reported on Friday in Hopkins County by the local health department.
Now, 3,643 total positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Hopkins County so far, with a total of 121 total COVID-19 deaths also being identified in the county to date.
