21-Year-Old Evansville Man Identified as Victim in Deadly Owensboro Shooting

A 21-year-old Evansville man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place in Owensboro on Sunday.

The Owensboro Police Department says the victim of a fatal shooting that happened on Sunday has been identified.

Police say 21-year-old Jarnell L. Carter of Evansville, Indiana, was shot and killed on Sunday on West 2nd Street in Owensboro, Kentucky. They say Carter was found dead after being shot multiple times.

Another man was also shot multiple times in the same incident, and police say he was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

This shooting was just one of three shootings that happened in Owensboro on Sunday.

Police are still looking for more information on all three shooting incidents. Anyone with information should call OPD at 270-687-8888 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.

Unfortunately, the same can be said for our Friday - lower pressure slowly spinning eastward will stall the rainfall and prolong our precip chances as we head into Friday afternoon and evening. It looks as though those chances of rainfall throughout our Friday will be sporadic at best and shouldn't lead to any significant disruption to those Friday night football games.
