24 More Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported in Daviess County, Kentucky

Another 24 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Daviess County on Thursday by the Green River District Health Department.

The Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) said Thursday that 24 new positive cases of COVID-19 had been identified in Daviess County, Kentucky.

GRDHD, which oversees seven western Kentucky counties, also reported new cases of the virus in Hancock, Henderson, and Ohio counties on Thursday.

Here's a breakdown of all new cases reported by GRDHD Thursday:

  • Daviess County: 24 new positive cases
  • Hancock County: 2 new positive cases
  • Henderson County: 3 new positive cases
  • Ohio County: 6 new positive cases

No new positive cases of the virus were reported in the health department's other counties Thursday (McLean, Webster, Union counties).

According to GRDHD, 20,278 total positive cases of COVID-19 have now been identified within the district to date, alongside 339 COVID-19 deaths.

Currently, the state of Kentucky is reporting 412,924 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 4,894 deaths.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
