3 New COVID-19 Deaths, 40 New Positive Cases Confirmed in Daviess County, Kentucky

Kentucky's Daviess County saw a substantial increase of both new positive COVID-19 cases and new COVID-19 deaths on Monday.

In Daviess County, Kentucky, 40 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Green River District Health Department on Monday, Oct. 5.

There were also three new COVID-19 deaths confirmed in Daviess County on Monday by GRDHD. 

Monday's report from GRDHD brought the total number of identified COVID-19 cases in Daviess County to 1,511, and the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the county to 19.

GRDHD also reported new positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday within several of the seven Kentucky counties within its district.

One new positive case of COVID-19 was reported in Hancock County. In Henderson County, 19 new positive cases of the virus were reported. There were five new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Ohio County, and seven in Union County. Webster County also had four new positive cases of COVID-19 reported Monday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the seven-county district reached 3,675 following Monday's reported increases.
