On Friday, the Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) reported its highest-single day increase of new positive COVID-19 cases within its seven-county Kentucky district.
Throughout the seven-county district, 82 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported collectively on Friday.
Webster County saw the largest increase of any county within the district on Friday, with 32 new positive cases of COVID-19 being confirmed there.
In Daviess County, 20 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported.
Henderson County had 12 new positive cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, the health department said, while in Ohio County, seven new positive cases of the virus were reported.
Union County saw six new positive cases, McLean County had four, and Hancock County had one.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases throughout the district is now 3,459.

GRDHD's report of a new record-high day comes alongside a similar report from Indiana, where the state saw its highest-single day increase of new positive COVID-19 cases so far.
It also comes on the same day as the report from U.S. President Donald Trump that he and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for the virus.
