3,659 More Hoosiers Test Positive for COVID-19

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting another 3,659 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The Indiana State Department of Health said Thursday that another 3,659 Hoosiers had tested positive for COVID-19.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, 944,708 total Hoosiers have now tested positive for the virus, ISDH said.

With 28 new COVID-19 deaths also reported statewide in Indiana Thursday, ISDH said that 14,865 Hoosiers had now died from the virus.

Here are the local COVID-19 increases reported by ISDH Thursday:

  • Vanderburgh County: 106 new positive cases, 1 new death
  • Spencer County: 18 new cases, 1 new death
  • Warrick County: 42 new cases
  • Daviess County: 40 new cases
  • Dubois County: 38 new cases
  • Gibson County: 23 new cases
  • Posey County: 16 new cases
  • Pike County: 18 new cases
  • Knox County: 12 new cases
  • Perry County: 10 new cases

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some highe amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
