5 New COVID-19 Cases Reported by Catholic Diocese of Evansville

The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office announced five new positive cases of COVID-19 within diocesan Catholic schools students on Wednesday.

The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office said Wednesday that five more students from diocesan Catholic schools had tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the education office, of the five students who tested positive, four were from one school, while the fifth was from a different school.

The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education says the students are self-quarantining and will return to school at the appropriate time.

The school administrations have contacted potential close contacts and asked them to self-quarantine. Families and staff have also been notified of the positive test.

The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office works with 26 diocesan Catholic schools across eight counties in Southwestern Indiana.
