50 More Vanderburgh County Residents Test Positive for COVID-19

Another 50 Vanderburgh County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, the Indiana State Department of Health reported on Wednesday.

There were 50 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Indiana's Vanderburgh County on Wednesday, Sept. 23, by the state health department.

That brought the total number of identified COVID-19 cases in Vanderburgh County to date to 3,494.

No new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Vanderburgh County on Wednesday, though on Monday, one new COVID-19 death was reported, which brought the county's total number of COVID-19 deaths to date to 30. The COVID-19 death reported in the county on Monday was that of a 49-year-old female resident, the Vanderburgh County Health Department said.

One new COVID-19 death was reported locally on Wednesday in Daviess County, where 28 total COVID-19 deaths are now shown by the state health department.

Statewide in Indiana on Wednesday, 10 new COVID-19 deaths were reported. That brought the total number of Indiana residents known to have died from COVID-19 to date to 3,305.

After 728 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported throughout the state on Wednesday, 113,337 Indiana residents are now confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 to date.
