President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

The development comes just weeks after helping to broker peace between Isreal and the United Arab Emirates.

The U.S. has tried to persuade its Arab allies to normalize relations with the Israeli state for several years.

According to the agreement, Isreal will no longer push to annex any portion of the West Bank.

The nomination was submitted by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, who lauded Trump for his efforts towards resolving protracted conflicts worldwide.
