A fire at Central High School in Evansville caused the school to be evacuated around 9:00 Tuesday night.
An EVSC spokesperson tells 44News, it was a small fire that began in the stage area of the auditorium at the high school.
The fire was quickly extinguished and appears to have caused very minimal damage.
But smoke did fill part of the building and crews were working to mitigate the smoke. As a result, crews will be working inside the building tomorrow, and in-person classes have been canceled. Juniors will be joining the other three classes in an E-learning day.
