Posey County Commissioners plan to unveil more details of the Western Bypass Project today.

Officials say their goal is to complete the loop around Mount Vernon, keeping semis away from the downtown area, and residential neighborhoods.

Phase one will link Base Road to I-64.

The Project is expected to start soon, opening sometime next year.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
