897 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Indiana

There were 897 new positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Indiana on Monday by the state health department, in addition to five new COVID-19 deaths.

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) is reporting new COVID-19 numbers in the Hoosier State.

On Monday, ISDH confirmed 897 new positive cases of COVID-19 throughout Indiana. ISDH's COVID-19 dashboard on Monday said 11,754 new individuals had been tested for the virus.

So far, 94,196 total Indiana residents have tested positive for COVID-19 to date since the first positive case of novel coronavirus was recorded in the state by ISDH on March 6.

Since COVID-19 testing began in the state with ISDH recording the first test on February 26, a total of 1,076,947 Hoosiers have now been tested. Overall, 8.7% of those individuals tested for the virus have tested positive.

Five new COVID-19 deaths were reported throughout the state on Monday. The Indiana counties where new COVID-19 deaths were reported on Monday were Noble County, Allen County, Wabash County, Delaware County, and Jackson County.

As of 11:00 a.m. CDT on Monday, no new COVID-19 deaths had been reported in Indiana's Tri-State counties.

Several counties did, however, have new positive cases confirmed on Monday by ISDH.
