It was nothing short of an absolutely gorgeous day across the Tri-State; not only did we see crystal clear skies much of the day, but our breezy southerly wind flow drove temperatures back into the low 50s area-wide for the first time since January 1st. In fact, today's high temperature of 52° was 11° above average for this time of year. As for the remainder of the evening ahead, one can expect pleasant conditions to continue. After seeing 43° around dinnertime, the mercury should only drop as low as 40° at 10 o’clock. Some added cloud cover overnight and a persistent weak southerly wind flow will help keep temperatures from falling all that far; we will fall to 33° in Evansville early Thursday morning.

Thursday will be mainly cloudy and cooler. That southerly wind flow will shift northward by tomorrow afternoon - once paired with partly sunny skies, temperatures are only expected to reach the mid 40s throughout the Lower Ohio Valley. Despite the cooler conditions, Thursday's anticipated high of 45° is still a few degrees above with the norm. If you’re looking to get out of the house tomorrow evening you’re still in luck, conditions should remain partly clear with temperatures ranging between the upper 30s low 40s between your evening commute and dinnertime.

While the skies above the Tri-State are expected to remain cloudy and temperatures at the surface cool for the end of the workweek, all eyes are on Friday night. Model data continues to indicate snow chances will reach the Tri-State sometime around midnight early Saturday morning. While much of the data differs drastically on projected snowfall totals, the overall timeline for the event is coming more into focus; as of right now it looks as though portions of the Tri-State could see chances of snowfall beginning around midnight Saturday morning through Sunday at 10 PM. It’s important to remain Weather where during the upcoming 36 to 48 hour period. We’ll continue to keep you updated during the coming days as more information becomes available.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
