According to the Daviess County Health Department (DCHD), all indoor visitations for nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Daviess County, Indiana, have been suspended.
DCHD says Daviess County Health Officer Dr. Merle Holsopple made the decision to suspend the indoor visitations.
According to DCHD, outdoor visitations at nursing homes and assisted living facilities may continue so long as social distancing is maintained and hygiene protocols are in place.
As of Friday, Daviess County had 20 total COVID-19 deaths and 255 total identified cases of coronavirus. The newest COVID-19 death in the county was reported by the health department on July 27.
