An American Flag placed by the Perry Township Fire Department is on display over the Lloyd Expressway in Evansville in honor of those that died on Sept. 11, 2001.

The Perry Township Fire Department has been displaying the 20 x 40 American Flag over the Lloyd Expressway near the University of Southern Indiana's campus for the last several years.

Other commemoration ceremonies were held throughout the Tri-State on Friday, such as in Henderson, where at the Henderson Fire Department a September 11th Sunrise Memorial Ceremony was held in honor of those who lost their lives on this day 19 years ago.
