On Friday, Democratic Senate candidate Amy McGrath flew herself into the Muhlenberg County Airport.
McGrath spoke to a crowd about her "Mission: Rebuilding Kentucky Plan," which is a legislative platform addressing the economic pain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. McGrath's Rebuilding Kentucky Plan aims to rebuild Kentucky’s economic, infrastructure, health care, and education systems to be stronger, more resilient, and more equitable.
The event was held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Paradise Park Pavilion, which is located at 620 Cleaton Rd. in Powderly, Kentucky.
McGrath was introduced by former state lawmaker Brent Yonts.
Several members of local unions, such as IBEW Local Union 1701, Heat & Frost Insulators Local Union 37, Carpenters & Joiners Local Union 357, United Steelworkers, and Kentucky Education Association, also spoke at the event.
