Beloved and anonymous donor Pete made his 41st Secret Santa drop at Easterseals this week.

Staff at the Bellemeade Avenue headquarters received a call Monday telling them to hurry and look outside for the latest package.

They found a gift bag hanging on the fence, and inside, a light-up Christmas tree.

Tucked inside the ornaments, 30 tightly rolled $100 bills for a total of $3,000.

Since 1990 the donor has given more than $100,000 to the organization that serves adults and children with disabilities and their families.

Pete stressed that his donation should be used to provide gifts to children with disabilities from disadvantaged families served by the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center and Easterseals Early Learning Center.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some highe amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
