A new archaeological project is underway at the Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, Indiana.
Excavation crews were on the grounds Tuesday working at the site.
Officials say the construction won't affect visiting hours, which are from Wednesday through Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
No details on the project have been released at this time.
Begining in 1939, under the direction of Glenn A. Black, a crew of 277 workers began excavating the Angel Mounds State Historic Site, recovering over 2.5 million artifacts.
