Owensboro Police are investigating a body that was pulled from the Ohio River, Tuesday night.
OPD tells 44News the call came in at 7:21 p.m. about a body that was lodge in debris near the river's edge, not far from the English Park Boat Ramp.
Emergency crews were able to locate the body about 20 minutes later, but it took more than two hours to recover the body.
OPD says the dark and rainy conditions contributed to the length of time it took firefighters to make the recory.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
