All Baptist Health employees who haven't yet received the COVID-19 vaccine will now be required to do so.
Baptist Health said it's rolling out a plan for its unvaccinated employees to receive the vaccine due to the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases caused by the Delta variant.
According to Baptist Health, around 65% to 70% of its approximately 23,000 employees are currently vaccinated, meaning around 30% of the healthcare system's employees haven't received the vaccine yet.
There are nine hospitals in the Baptist Health network, including Baptist Health Madisonville.
Baptist Health says it will share more details with the public on its vaccine requirement plan within the week.
