It's a good morning to grab the coffee and get going on this post election day! Conditions are very pleasant; clear skies and temperatures in the mid 40s. Election day was nothing short of amazing and that's going to be the story once again today.

Afternoon highs will be reaching the low to mid 70s, which could mark our warmest afternoon in nearly two weeks under mostly sunny skies. Thanks to a core of high pressure camped out over the southeast, it will keep all organized storms systems away from the Ohio River Valley for atleast the next several days. This is also keeping a southerly flow, which means we’ll keep filtering in the warmer air/temperatures!

Heading into this evening, some cloud cover will build in and keep overnight lows on the mild side. Waking up Thursday morning temperatures are expected to only be in the upper 40s under mostly cloudy conditions. Plenty of sunshine will hang around tomorrow afternoon after most of the clouds break up. Highs will top out at 68°.

Tomorrow will be the coolest in comparison to the next several days. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s through Monday. We'll stay on the warm side until Tuesday, which is the next time we could see some rainfall.

We're going to be looking out for another brutally hot afternoon throughout the Tri-State; afternoon highs should peak in the mid to high 90s with heat indices approaching and even surpassing 105°. As for the remainder of the evening, one can expect much of the same - temperatures will stick around the upper 80s through at least dinnertime before dipping to 80° or so by 10PM. By that time there is a good potential of some rainfall and storms picking up across the Tri-State. There is a chance we could see some severe weather develop with these storms. We'll start to see relief return Friday afternoon into Saturday.
