Four days after Election Day, former vice president Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential race.

CBS News projects Joe Biden has been elected the 46th president of the United States, with a projected win in Pennsylvania bringing him to 273 electoral votes.

President Donald Trump saw an early lead in key states across the country on Tuesday, but as more and more mail-in ballots were counted, several states flipped to Biden, pushing him over the 270 electoral votes needed to win.

Just yesterday, Biden took the lead in Pennsylvania and Georgia. This came days after Wisconsin and Michigan both switched from red to blue after more votes were counted.

Sen. Kamala Harris is now the projected vice president-elect of the United States. She will become the first woman to serve a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Several lawsuits have been filed on behalf of the Trump campaign.

The 2021 presidential inauguration is set to be held on Jan. 20.
