According to the Kentucky State Police, a Hopkins County man who had been missing since Friday was found dead early Sunday morning.
KSP says it was informed by the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department that a body had been found off of the southbound lanes of I-69 near the 103 mile marker around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

When KSP arrived at the scene on I-69, they confirmed the body to be 29-year-old Michael "Andrew" Dowd of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Authorities requested assistance locating Dowd on Friday after they said he was last seen Thursday at a residence on Wells Road in Nortonville.
No further information surrounding Dowd's death has been released at this time, but KSP says his autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 8.
