The Bosse Bulldogs boys' basketball team is now in quarantine after two of its players tested positive for COVID-19.
After consultation between various school officials, Bosse High School says the decision was made to quarantine the team as a precautionary measure.
As a result of the quarantine, the team won't be playing its next five scheduled games as originally scheduled.
Those games are as follows:
- Dec. 11 vs Princeton
- Dec. 12 vs Heritage Hills
- Dec. 15 vs Memorial
- Dec. 18 vs Washington
- Dec. 19 vs Hammond
The school says that of those five games, one is rescheduled, and efforts are being made to reschedule the others. While Bosse won't be participating in the Winter Classic, the school will still host all other scheduled Winter Classic games.
"We are disappointed not to play several highly-anticipated games, but we are following our COVID-19 protocols," the school said in a statement. "Since the start of school athletics, our priorities have been protecting student-athletes' health and safety and follow public heald guidelines."
