The Senate voted Monday to confirm Amy Coney Barrett as the next United States Supreme Court Justice.
The vote came largely along party lines with 52 Republicans voting for the nominee from Indiana. While 47 Democrates and one Republcian from Main voted down the confirmation.
The 48-year-old mother of seven will give the Supreme Court a 6-3 conservative majority.
She is expected to take her seat on the bench in time to hear several major cases including one on LGBTQ Rights on November 4th.
Judge Barrett is President Trump's third successful nomination to the nation's highest court.
