One Dead after Hit and Run Saturday Morning in Evansville

One person has died after being ran over by a driver Saturday morning.

One person is now dead after a hit and run Saturday morning in Evansville.

According to Vanderburgh County Dispatch, the incident happened on the 1300 block of North Fifth Avenue and Florence Street.

Detectives with the Evansville Police Department say the 9-1-1 call came in just after 3:20 a.m.

According to the Vanderburgh County Coroner, after being transported to the hospital, the victim, 39 year old Patrick Levell later died. 

EPD detectives say this is an ongoing investigation.
