Cool, but mild temperatures are taking over the Tri-State this morning. It is quite pleasant for it being December 11th. Mostly sunny skies will persist through the first part of the day, but clouds will start increasing through the later part of today. Highs will still be topping out in the mid 60s.
Right now, rain chances don't look to be moving into the viewing area until early evening into tonight. The activity may reach southwest Indiana and western Kentucky by dark or shortly after. As the cold front moves over the area tonight, scattered showers will be likely through tomorrow. Some of those bands do have the potential of being heavy at times. Shower chances will lessen Saturday afternoon. High temperatures are still expected to reach the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Sunday should stay dry with cloudy skies, but we will definitely feel the aftermath of the cold front. Highs are only going to reach the low 40s.
