A domestic dispute in Evansville, Indiana on Wednesday led to a brief standoff between officers with the Evansville Police Department and a local man.
According to EPD, officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute between a man and a woman in the 2000 block of E. Mulberry Street just before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say they were called by the woman, who made the call after becoming fearful for her life because the man had a gun.
The woman was able to exit the home and was found outside by police.
EPD says a brief standoff took place between officers and the man that lasted less than an hour.
The man was taken into police custody after eventually exiting the home peacefully, but no arrests have been made at this time.
