The Daviess County Health Department in Washington, Indiana, says it will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Washington Jr. High School on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

According to the health department, this clinic will be for anyone who received their first dose of the vaccine on Sept. 8, but individuals who haven't received their shot yet are also welcome to attend.

Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be offered at the school from 1:00 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. for students and staff and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the public. Anyone who's at least 12-years-old is eligible to get vaccinated at the clinic.

While the COVID-19 vaccine is free for all, the health department asks anyone who plans on attending the clinic to bring their insurance card, if they have one.

Anyone receiving their first dose of the vaccine at the clinic will need to schedule a followup appointment for their second shot with the health department.

The Washington Jr. High School is located at 210 NE 6th Street in Washington, Indiana. The health department says parking will be available in the lot across from the school's gymnasium.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day across the Tri-State; temperatures climbed back into the upper 40s low 50s area-wide earlier this afternoon. Evansville‘s afternoon high temperature of 49° was our warmest in nearly a week. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will be relatively stable as a breezy southerly wind continues to bolster the mercury throughout the region; temperatures around 42° at dinner time will only fall as low as 41° by midnight. An inbound cold front moving in overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning will begin to generate chances of rainfall as early as the predawn hours on Wednesday.
