Chamber to Host Virtual Lunch With Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke

Lunch with the mayor kicks off at 11 this morning. You join for $25

If you want the scoop on what's happening in the River City you might want to join a virtual lunch that will be live streamed with Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke. On Tuesday from 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m. the Southwest Indiana Chamber will host "Lunch With the Mayor."

Typically the event is in-person but with COVID-19 safety measures in place, Mayor Winnecke's update will be available via live stream. Members of Evansville's business community will learn about the progress of current projects as well as any new projects planned for the year.

St. Vincent South Region President, Dan Parod, is slated to give an update on how the vaccine roll out is going in the area. Other guests include City Engineer, Brent Schmitt, Parks & Recreation Executive Director, Brian Holtz, and Mesker Zoo & Botanic Garden Executive Director, Erik Beck.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
