City Leaders Discuss I-69 Bridge Project

One proposal includes building roundabouts on the Evansville side.

Those living in Kentucky and Indiana are one step closer to a smoother trip across the Ohio River.

Tuesday night, Henderson officials took another look at the I-69 bridge project.

Earlier in the day, city leaders met to discuss the best options to make the bridge a reality.

One idea would bring round-a-bouts to Evansville's east side for easier access to I-69.

Construction is expected to start in 2022.

City officials on both sides of the Ohio plan to complete the project by 2024.

It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon throughout the Tri-State, but despite our seemingly endless supply of sunshine today, temperatures remained more than 10° cooler than the norm for this time of the year. Fortunately, today's peak temperature of 65° represents our coolest anticipated afternoon high temperature through the remainder of our extended forecast. While it is indeed encouraging that temperatures will gradually rise through the rest of the work week into the weekend ahead, we'll still have to deal with temperatures back down into the upper 30s and low 40s early Thursday morning.
