As Evansville gets a break from the sleet and snow, Evansville snow crews continue to work on roads during this pause on the winter weather.

After prepping trucks and checking assignments, a refreshed crew of drivers hit the streets Tuesday morning to continue to clear routes throughout the day.

Mayor's Office, Evansville/Vanderburgh Emergency Management Agency and the Transportation Department will continue to monitor another potential surge of snow heading to Evansville on Wednesday.

And on Monday night, EPD patrolmen assisted essential hospital employees who were shut in.

Ascension St. Vincent and Deaconess employees who couldn't safely travel to work because of the weather were transported by EPD traffic patrols.

And due to a shortage of available drivers, the METS Fulton Route will be out of service on Tuesday.
