The city of Evansville announced a step towards creating a safer and stronger city on Monday.
Evansville announced the city will be joining Nextdoor, an app that allows people in the same city to share news and emergency notifications.
The Mayor's Office said they plan to share important news and emergency notifications that are relevant to each neighborhood in the city.
