City of Henderson Extends Deadline for $100 COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive

The City of Henderson is giving its residents a little more time to receive $100 for getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Officials in Henderson, Kentucky, have extended the timeline of the city's COVID-19 vaccine incentive.

Originally, the City of Henderson Board of Commissioners decided that up to 1,000 unvaccinated adults living in the city could get $100 gift cards for receiving their COVID-19 vaccine. The incentive was set to end on Oct. 22.

Since the incentive began in late September, we're told around 200 Henderson residents took advantage of the incentive.

Now, Henderson residents have until Nov. 22 to get their first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine and claim their $100 reward. The gift cards can be used anywhere that accepts that form of payment.

To take part in the program, you must get vaccinated at one of these participating locations in Henderson:

  • T&T Drug Store - (1331 Clay St.)
  • Midway Pharmacy (Eastgate Shopping Center on Outer Second Street)
  • Butler’s Apothecary - (213 N. Main St.)
  • Henderson County Health Department (472 Klutey Park Plaza Drive)

The gift cards are being paid for with American Rescue Plan funding.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
