We started this Tuesday morning with chilly, but mild temperatures across the Tri-State. Most of us were walking out the door to high 30s and low 40s. Patchy to dense fog hung around for the majority of the morning, before clearing out. Today looks dry, but breezy! Gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. Expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s early on. Temperatures will be on the downturn heading into the rest of the afternoon.
All eyes are on the next system heading our way tomorrow. We're tracking a chance for light snow arriving late morning into the afternoon. A weak surface low will organize over the southern Plains and travel across the Mid-South. The timing of the snowfall looks to be during the daytime hours. It will mainly be up to how the temperatures play out. There is a good chance we will stay right around freezing, which will make it quite possible for us to see anywhere from a dusting to 1" of snowfall. At this time, the accumulation looks to be confined to grass or elevated surfaces.

Drier and more quiet weather is expected to return Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, the cool conditions will be sticking around. Afternoon highs on Thursday will only reach the mid 30s before temperatures dive into the mid to low 20s early Friday morning. Friday looks as though it'll be slightly warmer with highs near 44° under plenty of sunshine.
