A major Kentucky road project has been completed.

Kentucky Transportaion Cabinet has declared the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway concrete rehabilitation project complete as of November 7th.

The project was to replace the highway for a stretch of over 13 miles that spanned between Christian and Hopkins County.  The project was launched in March of 2018 and had lead to many sections going to one-lane both north and southbound.

Hall Contrtacting of KY, Inc. was the prime contractor on the $43.2 million dollar rehab project.  There had been delays due to inclement weather and the COVID-19 pandemic in the latter stages of the project.
