Cloudy and cool conditions are on the ticket for this Friday, December 4th. However, some of our most southern communities woke up to isolated showers and sprinkles. Temperatures started out on the mild side for this time of year, but there was a big difference from the northwest to the southeast portions of the Tri-State. Most of us were in the high 30s and low 40s, while our Southern Illinois folks were down right cold - upper 20s and low 30s.
Mostly cloudy skies will linger for much of our Friday, though gradually decreasing cloud cover will give way to a clearer and colder Saturday morning. After reaching 47° Friday afternoon, temperatures will return to more winter-like as we’re waking up tomorrow morning in the upper 20s.
This weekend will be a great time to get the family out for some holiday festivities. Both Saturday and Sunday will be full of sunshine and seasonable temperatures – highs should top out in the mid to upper 40s. The dry trend is expected to carry over to next week with temperatures potentially climbing into the 50s.
