The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says a single-vehicle crash has both eastbound lanes blocked on the Western Kentucky Parkway at mile marker 60 in Muhlenberg County.

Motorists are being detoured off at Exit 58, turn right onto US 431 North, take US 62 East to Ohio Co/Beaver Dam, take US 231 to WK Parkway.

According to Kentucky State Police, a commercial truck driver lost control of their vehicle and was taken to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital with minor injuries.

Following the accident, the road was fully reopened around 3:30 p.m.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
