Crews Respond to Evansville House Fire

The fire broke out around 4:00 in the afternoon.

Developing this Monday, emergency crews raced to the scene of a house fire in Evansville.

It happened around 4:00 pm, along West Maryland Street.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the flames and smoke, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon throughout the Tri-State, but despite our seemingly endless supply of sunshine today, temperatures remained more than 10° cooler than the norm for this time of the year. Fortunately, today's peak temperature of 65° represents our coolest anticipated afternoon high temperature through the remainder of our extended forecast. While it is indeed encouraging that temperatures will gradually rise through the rest of the work week into the weekend ahead, we'll still have to deal with temperatures back down into the upper 30s and low 40s early Thursday morning.
