Dozens gathered for the Evansville Labor Day Run on Monday.
The in-person run was held at Deaconess Sports Park on N. Green River Rd. in Evansville, Indiana.
Participants could choose from a 5k run/walk, a 5k walk, a10k run/walk, and a 10k walk.
Runners and walkers were only required to wear masks while in race areas, before and after the run.
One attendee of the event shared his reasons for attending the run.
"It's easy exercise, I don't like to lift, so running's very relaxing," said Cain Parker, one of the participants at the event on Monday. "You only have to do one thing - so you don't have to think about anything, you just go."
The Evansville Labor Day Run is an annual event in Evansville, Indiana.
