TUESDAY: We started off with mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures this morning. The conditions will have no problem heating up our atmosphere this afternoon. As the skies clear, it will allow the heat and oppressive humidity to take over. Highs will top in the low-90s with a "feel like" temperature of 99°. We are under an Air Quality Alert for today (Sensitive Groups).

TUESDAY NIGHT: Dry skies will persist. Overnight lows will drop into the low 70s.

REST OF THE WEEK: Conditions will remain uneventful for most of your week ahead. The biggest concern will be the possible dangerous heat and humidity that will pumping into the region in the coming days. Mid-90s will be widespread by Wednesday and Thursday with heat indices approaching the 105°-110°. Rain chances aren't expected to return until the weekend, which will give us some relief from the scorching heat.

Today's high temperature of 87° was our warmest in a week and a half - we last climbed that high on the afternoon of September 18th when we tipped the scales at 88°. The remainder of the evening will remain quite mild under clear skies; expect temperatures to first fall to 83° by dinnertime before dropping to 73° by 10PM. The clear skies and weak southerly wind flow will help keep temperatures relatively stable during the overnight and predawn hours - we'll wake up to a morning low of just 62° early Wednesday morning.
