Dates for Evansville's 'Music in the Park' Announced

The free, family-friendly concert series will kick off on May 6 and end on Aug. 19.

The Evansville Parks Foundation has announced the dates and musical acts for its annual "Music in the Park" event.

The free, family-friendly concert series will kick off on Thursday, May 6, with the last show scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19.

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., each Music in the Park performance will take place on its scheduled date.

Here is the Music in the Park 2021 schedule which shows each date, performer, and location:

  • May 6: Tony Henning at Akin Park
  • May 20: Haywire at Franklin Street Library Park
  • June 3: 2 Miles Back at State Hospital
  • June 17: Jimmy DeTalent and the Electric Revival at Vann Park
  • July 1: The Hip Replacements at Howell Park
  • July 15: Just Us 4 at Lorraine Park
  • Aug. 5: Zion Albert at the Four Freedoms Monument
  • Aug. 19: American Way at Sunset Park

Besides the live music, organizers say food trucks and late swimming hours at Lorraine & Howell Pools dates will be included.

The event is free. Interested individuals are encouraged to bring their own supplies, such as picnic blankets and lawn chairs.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
