Members of the Daviess County High School Dance Team are celebrating a first-place position in the National Dance Alliance competition.

The team won first place in the contest's Game Day category in the medium size division. DCHS also placed fifth in the hip hop category / small size division.

Coach Debbie Conor says that while the COVID-19 pandemic has presented an unprecedented number of challenges for the team, the girls' hard work, talent, and dedication pulled them through to the end.

“I am so proud of the team this year,” said Connor. “They’ve worked really hard. They are an incredible group of young ladies – talented, smart, strong, and they have an incredible work ethic."

The team's win in the National Dance Alliance competition, which took place virtually this year due to COVID-19, marks the third consecutive national title for the team.

It's a cool, but beautiful start to our Thursday! Conditions will hold together for an absolutely gorgeous afternoon. Highs will still be below normal, but we'll take some high 60s under mostly sunny skies. The 70s could make a come back as soon as tomorrow!
