Some Daviess County Public Schools (DCPS) will be returning to in-person instruction in mid-September.
The district announced Monday that it will be transitioning to its "Orange" status of its Stoplight Model on Monday, Sept. 14.
Under DCPS's "Orange" status of its Stoplight Model, students in preschool through Grade 8 will return to school on the A-B schedule, while students in grades 9 - 12 will remain on Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Virtual Academy students remain on their VA schedule.
Descriptions of both DCPS and community responses for each of the four statuses in the Harvard Global Health Institute model are as follows:
- Green: Five-Day In-Person Learning
- Yellow: A/B Hybrid Schedule
- Orange: A/B Hybrid Schedule for grades PreK - 8 with small group restrictions; Distance Learning for grades 9-12 (small groups allowable within KDE guidelines)
- Red: Distance Learning for all P-12 Students (no In-Person Learning)
