Daviess County Sheriff's Deputy Seriously Injured in Crash

A deputy with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office sustained several broken ribs and bruised lungs in a crash on Monday while responding to a call, according to the sheriff's office.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office in Owensboro, Kentucky, says one of its deputies was badly injured in a crash on Monday evening.

According to the sheriff's office, DCSO Deputy Josh White was responding to a call for service on Monday when he was involved in a serious crash.

DCSO says that Deputy White sustained several broken ribs and bruised lungs and that while he's in quite a bit of pain, he's expected to make a full recovery.

"Please keep Deputy Josh White and his family in your prayers as he recovers from his injuries," DCSO said Tuesday.

The sheriff's office said Deputy White was admitted to the hospital following the crash.

The other motorist involved in the collision was uninjured, according to the sheriff's office.
