On Tuesday, the Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office said it had learned of seven new positive COVID-19 cases within the Diocese of Evansville Catholic Schools district.
The education office's update says the new positive cases were identified within six students and one employee who are associated with five different diocesan Catholic schools.
- School 1 – Two students tested positive
- School 2 – Two students tested positive
- School 3 – One student tested positive
- School 4 – One student tested positive
- School 5 – One employee tested positive
The education office did say that all individuals who tested positive are now in quarantine and will return to school at the appropriate time and that all close contacts have been contacted and asked to quarantine as well.
The Diocese of Evansville Catholic Education Office works with 26 different diocesan Catholic schools in Southwestern Indiana and says that due to privacy reasons, specific information on individuals who tested positive and the different schools they're associated with won't be released.
