According to Adam Trinkel, Marketing and Events Director of the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District, fireworks on the Ohio River are a "go" for Independence Day 2021.
The event will take place on the stretch of the Ohio River parallel to Riverside Drive in downtown Evansville.
Spectators can arrive in the area as soon as 6:00 p.m. on July 4, where food trucks and other activities will be available.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., the fireworks display will begin.
The event is free to the public thanks to sponsorships by corporations/businesses.
The 2020 fireworks display at the riverfront was canceled due to safety concerns caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
An event page for the 2021 fireworks event was created on Facebook and can be found by clicking here.
